Lost dog
A Columbus Square woman reported on April 28 that her dog, a 14-year-old black cairn terrier, was missing, having possibly run out the door of her home. The woman described the dog as wearing a red and green collar and as "blind and demented."

Gun-point robbery on Worcester Street
A 47-year-old South End man was beaten in an attempted robbery on Worcester Street at around 3 a.m. on May 4. The victim told police that he was only a few doors from his home when two young men wearing black hooded sweatshirts approached him and demanded his wallet, threatening to shoot him with a handgun one of the suspects pulled out. The victim was able to fend off the attackers after a "good Samaritan" yelled down from his window that he had called police. The victim suffered cuts to both his hands and bruises on his face. Police searched the area, but to no avail.

Bullet found at Cathedral High School
A teacher at Cathedral High School found two students playing with a bullet in the library of the school on April 29. After she confronted them, the students told the teacher that they found the "slug" on a table in the library and turned it over to her. The D4 Ballistics Unit then took custody of the bullet.

Boy stabbed on Washington Street
A 15-year-old Roxbury suffered stab wounds to his face and stomach during a reported fight with another youth near the intersection of East Newton and Washington streets at around 12:20 p.m. on April 29. Police, who were close to the scene at the time, saw what appeared to be a scuffle between two young men, after which one got into a green Honda Civic and drove off, while the other walked toward the nearby bus stop, holding his hand to his face. Police stopped the vehicle down the street and, with a positive identification from a witness, arrested a 17-year-old Roxbury boy for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and mayhem. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was treated by stab wounds to his left temple, left eye area and left upper abdomen.

Gas card, cigarettes stolen from van
Two elevator repairmen working on a building at 46 Plympton St. returned to their van to discover the door unlocked and their company Exxon gas card and a half a pack of Marlboro Light cigarettes missing on May 2. The victims, who said they’d been working on the elevator from 7:30 a.m. to around 12:15 p.m., told police they’d locked the car door before leaving it parked in front of 44 Plympton St. The victims also told police that they found a set of "shop keys" about 30 feet from the vehicle.
