Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn has scheduled a hearing to examine the city's response to pothole repairs and roadway maintenance.

The hearing will be held Friday, May 8 at 10 a.m. before the appropriate City Council committee at City Hall.

Flynn said the hearing will focus on how the city tracks pothole repairs, responds to reports from residents, and plans long-term roadway resurfacing and maintenance. The discussion is expected to include officials from the Boston Transportation Department, the Public Works Department and other city agencies.

Residents are encouraged to report potholes through the city's 311 system, which helps prioritize repair requests across
Boston.
