Police are continuing to investigate a March 29 shooting in the South End that left two people injured.

Officers responded shortly after 7 p.m. to reports of gunfire near Shawmut Avenue and Kendall Street after multiple 911 calls and a ShotSpotter activation, according to Boston Police.

Police found two people with gunshot wounds to the leg and officers applied tourniquets before both victims were taken to local hospitals, the stations reported. Authorities said the injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Investigators recovered ballistic evidence at the scene, and no arrests had been announced in the case as of the latest reports.

Local television reports also said a stray bullet struck a building several blocks away, rupturing a sprinkler pipe and causing damage that displaced residents.
