Boston incumbents swept to victory in Tuesday's city council elections, with all four at-large seats and District 2 Councilor Ed Flynn easily winning reelection, according to the Boston Herald and official city results.

The four incumbent at-large councilors all retained their seats: Council President Ruthzee Louijeune, Julia Mejia, Erin Murphy, and Henry Santana, who Mayor Michelle Wu said won "in a landslide" over former councilor Frank Baker's comeback attempt.

In District 2, which includes the South End, South Boston, Downtown and Chinatown, Ed Flynn cruised to reelection with 86.6% of the vote (8,592 votes), easily defeating challenger Charles Jeffrey Delaney who received 12.1%, according to official city results.

The sole open seat on the council went to Rev. Miniard Culpepper, who declared victory in the District 7 race representing Roxbury, Dorchester, Fenway and the South End. GBH and the Boston Herald reported Culpepper defeated Said "Coach" Ahmed with 53% to 45% — a margin of roughly 600 votes — with all precincts reporting.

The District 7 seat had been vacant since former Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson resigned in July after pleading guilty to federal corruption charges.

Mayor Michelle Wu, running unopposed, also won reelection to a second term.
