Camp Hale Raises $70,000 at Plunge Fundraiser
Wednesday Oct 29, 2025
Camp Hale raised over $70,000 at its second annual Camp Hale Plunge fundraiser on October 11, more than doubling its initial goal of $30,000.
Supporters of all ages participated in the early morning event, plunging into Squam Lake at 9:00 a.m. Each participant was challenged to raise at least $75. The top fundraiser, Bandita Joarder, Senior Director of Pega Delivery at Pegasystems, raised $5,000.
Proceeds support scholarships for youth campers and families attending Camp Hale, a program of United South End Settlements (USES). The camp, located on Squam Lake in the White Mountains, has operated for over 125 years and offers a sliding-scale fee structure with financial assistance to ensure all families can afford a summer camp experience.
USES supports families in achieving economic mobility and provides resources and opportunities in Boston's South End and beyond.
