NeighborHealth held its first South End Fall Family Health Fair on October 18 at Blackstone Square Park, drawing families and community members for preventative health services and seasonal activities.

The event offered free flu and COVID-19 vaccines, educational health resources, and family activities including pumpkin decorating, face painting, and music. Attendees also received healthy snacks donated by Farmer's Fridge and local supermarkets.

"Our Fall Family Health Fair makes preventative care more accessible and fun for our community," said Courtney Senechal, Director of Nursing at NeighborHealth. "Especially this time of year, we want to be sure our community is equipped to prevent seasonal viruses like flu and stay healthy into the winter."

NeighborHealth staff and volunteers connected visitors with information about year-round services, including family care, radiology, dental, recovery, older adult, and behavioral health programs. The fair also provided opportunities for new patients to learn about the health center's services.

The event was supported by sponsors including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Medical Center, Bunker Hill Community College, Quest Diagnostics, Boston Children's Hospital, and several local grocery stores and businesses.
