Police Seek Help Identifying Assault Suspect in Roxbury
Boston police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman wanted in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on Saturday, August 16, near 1620 Tremont Street in Roxbury.
The incident happened around 6:15 PM when the suspect allegedly pepper-sprayed a victim in the eyes. Police describe the suspect as a light-skinned Black female wearing a black floral t-shirt, black pants, and multicolored Nike sneakers.
Burglary Suspect Arrested After Multi-Neighborhood Spree
Boston police arrested a 55-year-old man in connection with a string of commercial break-ins targeting businesses in Back Bay and the South End. A Boston resident was taken into custody by Cambridge police officers on Thursday, August 28, after four warrants were issued for his arrest.
The man faces multiple charges including four counts of nighttime breaking and enteringfor felony purposes, two counts of larceny from a building, and two counts of property destruction exceeding $1,200. The arrest concludes an investigation into several commercial burglaries that had affected local businesses in the two neighborhoods.
South End Shooting Under Investigation
A man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a shooting Sunday night, August 24, in the South End. The incident occurred around 9:45 PM in the area of 777 Tremont Street.
Boston police officers responded to reports of gunfire and found the victim at the scene. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the investigation remains active.
