News From... Friends of Titus Sparrow Park

Thursday May 15, 2025

Spring is finally here, and the Friends of Titus Sparrow Park are thrilled to officially announce a full calendar of free, community events for 2025!

Our mission is to bring people together — and we've planned programs designed to welcome neighbors of all ages and interests to the park.

Our all-volunteer nonprofit relies on your support to fund these events.

The summer concert series cost $25,000

Signature events such as the Easter Egg hunt and Halloween party add up to $7,500

Free kids sports clinics (and equipment) cost over $5,000

The Friends of Titus Sparrow Park are proud to partner with South End organizations and businesses as we host these events — whether that means collecting donations for the Animal Rescue League or supporting local businesses and artists.

We rely on your generosity to make our programs possible. Every donation, big or small, truly makes a difference.

About Love Your Block:

"Love Your Block" is an initiative by the City of Boston, run by the Office of Civic Organizing, to foster community engagement and make neighborhoods cleaner and more beautiful. Previously known as "Boston Shines," this initiative encourages residents and community groups to join forces and take extra care of our neighborhoods.

Every spring, Bostonians representing every neighborhood unite to showcase their community pride and commitment. Participating in "Love Your Block" is a great way to connect with neighbors, spend time outdoors, and witness the tangible impact of collective action. It's a fun and rewarding way to help keep our city beautiful while building a stronger sense of community.

Mayor Wu's Coffee Hour at Titus Sparrow Park

10:00 AM 11:00 AM

Mayor Wu's Neighborhood Coffee Hours are a unique opportunity to speak directly with the Mayor, neighborhood liaisons, and staff from City departments about open space and their neighborhoods.

Through these discussions, the Mayor looks forward to hearing how the City of Boston can improve upon local parks, public areas, and City services. Complete the Coffee Hours Community Input Survey to submit your questions and concerns in advance. The team will also have a suggestion box set up at Titus Sparrow Park.

Dunkin' will be on-site to fuel the local community with freshly brewed Iced Coffee and assorted fan-favorite MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats. Dunkin' will brew up even more fun with customized lawn games and gift card giveaways. Residents at each event will also be eligible to win a raffle prize from Dunkin'. Each family in attendance will receive a free flowering plant provided by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, while supplies last. Fresh fruit will be provided by Star Market. Additional support by City Express.
