Framingham State University Announces 2018 Graduates

Thousands of friends, family, faculty, and staff packed into the DCU Center in Worcester on Sunday, May 20th, to celebrate the Framingham State University Class of 2018. As a result of their hard work, all of our graduates have deepened their knowledge, strengthened their analytical and communication skills, demonstrated their commitment to lifelong learning, and taken an important step in separating themselves from the field in an increasingly competitive job market.

Amidst a graduating class of over 1,000 strong, we congratulate the following local Framingham State University students:

Bowdoin College

During Bowdoin College's 213th Commencement ceremony, held May 26, 2018, bachelor of arts degrees were awarded to the Class of 2018, comprising approximately 488 students from 41 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and 19 other countries and territories.

The following are local Bowdoin College students:
Tevin Joel Montgomery, a member of the Bowdoin College Class of 2018, graduated with a major in government and legal studies.
Katherine Rose Kerrigan, a member of the Bowdoin College Class of 2018, graduated with a major in economics and psychology.

Sewanee Dean's List

Daniel Callahan Oakley of Boston, Massachusetts, has been named to the Dean's List at the University of the South for the Easter 2018 term. To earn a place on Sewanee's Dean's List, a student must earn a minimum grade point average of 3.625 on a 4.0 scale. Daniel Callahan Oakley is the son of Eileen & Daniel C. Oakley of Boston (02118).

College of the Holy Cross Announces 2018 Graduates

The following local students received a degree from the College of the Holy Cross at its 172nd commencement on May 25.
Huan Er Liu, received a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Connie Truong, received a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Ligia Cristina Flores, received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

A total of 739 students received degrees this year at Holy Cross, in exercises at which Emmy and Peabody Award-winning NPR journalist Michele Norris, founder of The Race Card Project and executive director of The Bridge, was the principal speaker.

To achieve the dean's list distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career. Each student receives a letter of commendation and congratulation from their college dean.

Curry College Dean's List

Curry College is proud to announce that Stephanie Green-Cooper of Boston, has been named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2018 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a 3.30 GPA, have no incompletes, and have no grade lower than a "C" for the semester.

To achieve the dean's list distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career. Each student receives a letter of commendation and congratulation from their college dean.

Bucknell University Dean's List

Reese Gibson, Class of 2018, from Boston, MA was named to the dean's list at Bucknell University during the spring semester of the 2017-18 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Located in Lewisburg, Pa., Bucknell University is a highly selective private liberal arts university that offers majors in the arts, engineering, humanities, management, and social and natural sciences, along with broad opportunities outside of class, to its 3,600 undergraduates. Graduate programs are available in select disciplines. Students benefit from a small student-faculty ratio of 9:1, personal attention from faculty, leadership opportunities, and excellent graduation rates and career outcomes.

Lasell College

Lasell College Acknowledges Boston Resident Raymond Liang on Spring 2018 Dean's List
Lasell College recently announced students named to the spring 2018 Dean's List. Raymond Liang of Boston was named to the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement.
Students with this accomplishment are full-time degree candidates who completed 12 or more credits in the spring semester, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. This semester's Dean's Listencompasses a total of 707 students from all class years, including 126 members of the school's first-year class.
