On Saturday, May 5, 2018, Boston Police Commissioner William Evans stopped by Peters Park in the South End to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the season for the South End Baseball League. Commissioner Evans threw a perfect strike on a perfect day and encouraged all the players in attendance to try their best and to make the most of every inning of each game.
