In his new role as President of the Friends of Blackstone Franklin Square, Trautman looks forward to overseeing numerous fundraising and restoration efforts connected to the preservation and improvement of the historical parks, which were planned by Charles Bullfinch and opened in 1849 and 1855.
"Having been designed by Charles Bullfinch, The Blackstone and Franklin Square Parks are woven into the rich, historic fabric that comprises The City of Boston," said Trautman. "I’m honored to have been elected President of the Friends of Blackstone Franklin Square Parks, which consists of a dedicated group of individuals who are passionate about preserving these beautiful spaces that are free for all to enjoy."
