Courtney Trautman named resident of the Friends of Blackstone Franklin Square Parks
At a recent meeting of the organization, Courtney Trautman, Senior Associate at Hammond Residential, was named President of the Friends of the Blackstone Franklin Square Parks.
Trautman, a Massachusetts native and Boston resident for over twenty years, presently resides in the South End. Deeply rooted in the community, Trautman is well-known for being a top agent in Boston and the surrounding neighborhoods. He is active in The Greater Boston Real Estate Board and The Greater Boston Association of Realtors, and is a member of The Blackstone/Franklin Neighborhood Association, and The University Club of Boston.
The Friends of Blackstone and Franklin Squares is a subcommittee of the Blackstone/Franklin Square Neighborhood Association. It was created in 1995 as a non-profit, volunteer organization that manages funds donated for the upkeep and improvement of Blackstone and Franklin Squares.
In his new role as President of the Friends of Blackstone Franklin Square, Trautman looks forward to overseeing numerous fundraising and restoration efforts connected to the preservation and improvement of the historical parks, which were planned by Charles Bullfinch and opened in 1849 and 1855.
"Having been designed by Charles Bullfinch, The Blackstone and Franklin Square Parks are woven into the rich, historic fabric that comprises The City of Boston," said Trautman. "I’m honored to have been elected President of the Friends of Blackstone Franklin Square Parks, which consists of a dedicated group of individuals who are passionate about preserving these beautiful spaces that are free for all to enjoy."
Trautman works with buyer and seller clients from Hammond’s South End office located at The Atelier, 505 Tremont Street.
