Friday Mar 11, 2016

At about 12:58pm on Saturday, February 27, 2016, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to a call for a person with a gun in the area of Tremont Street and Mass Ave. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that he was driving along Tremont Street when he observed a Hispanic male on a moped weaving in and out of traffic. When the victim attempted to pass the moped, he states the suspect struck his passenger side mirror with his hand. When the victim stopped to check the damage, the suspect began threatening him. Victim states that the suspect brandished a firearm and threatened to harm him. Officers promptly broadcast a description of the suspect over the police radio. According to the victim, the suspect was last seen pushing his moped away from the scene because the moped had stalled. In short time, officers located an individual fitting the suspect's description in the area of 9 Trotter Court. While officers questioned the suspect about his possible involvement in the earlier incident, the victim was brought to the scene for identification purposes. Once on scene, the victim looked at the person being detained and stated, "That's him." Officers arrested Giovanni Pagan, 25, of Boston and charged him with Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon (Gun). The suspect was not in possession of a firearm when taken into custody.
