South End Honor Roll

Boston College High School

South End students earn Boston College High School Honors. Ryan Ridolfo 2019, Noad Zacharias 2019 and Dylan Mullin 2020 of the South End achieved High Honors for the Fourth Quarter at Boston College High School. For High Honors upperclassmen need a 3.8 QPA and and all grades '"C+" or higher. Freshmen need a 3.6 quality point average and all grades '"C+" or higher.

UMass Amherst

The following local students who were named to the dean's list at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for the 2017 spring semester.

In order to qualify, an undergraduate student must receive a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a four-point scale.

Tulane University

Tulane University awarded degrees to nearly 2,800 graduates on May 20, 2017 at the
Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Local student, Sara Zarzecki of Boston, earned a Master of Public Health degree from Tulane's School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. The ceremony's keynote speaker was Helen Mirren, an Oscar, Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress known for her support of humanitarian efforts. Mirren also received an honorary degree along with jazz great Branford Marsalis, civil rights activist Diane Nash and social psychologist Shelley Taylor.

Simmons College

The following local residents were named to the 2017 spring semester dean's list at Simmons College in Boston.
