Hurley Neighborhood Association Leadership

Two long-time neighborhood residents have assumed leadership of the neighborhood association. Fulani Butler and Brian Gokey both live near the intersection of Shawmut and W. Springfield. Blackstone/Franklin Square Neighborhood Association presents the annual Halloween Festival

Halloween Festival in Blackstone Square on Saturday, October 29, 12-3 pm. Here is the lineup of activities and entertainment:
Pumpkin Decorating by Friends of Blackstone & Franklin Squares
Ice Cream Truck by Boston Police Department, 12-1 pm
Face Painting by Boston Police Department, 12:30-2:30 pm
Yoga Class by Endurance Pilates & Yoga, 12:30-1 pm
Dog Costume Contest by BFSNA, with prizes from Polka Dog Bakery and WannaGoOut, 1 pm
Spooky Stories with Anne Smart of South End Public Library, 2 pm
Haunted Burial Ground Tour by Michele Maniscalco, 2:30 pm
Spooky Tunes by DJ Sam Milinazzo
Crafts and Treats by Blackstone Community Center and South End Community Health Center
Sidewalk Chalk Art and Treats by St. Stephen's Youth Programs

Harrison Albany Block Public Meeting

Public meeting concerning changes to development plan for Harrison Albany Block. Hosted by BPDA.

The Proponent seeks to redevelop the majority of an approximately three acre block bordered by Harrison Avenue, East Dedham Street, East Canton Street, and Albany Street (the "Project Site"). The Proposed Project includes the construction of two new mixed-use buildings and the renovation and expansion of two existing buildings, in total containing approximately 687 residential units,19,700 square feet of retail/cultural space, and 76,800 square feet of office space.

Operation Fall Alley Cleanup
