SE's Max Sussman meets Red Sox pitcher Matt Barnes

Thursday Jun 30, 2016

The Boston Red Sox debuted "The Red Sox Showcase powered by T-Mobile", a mobile truck which brings the unique Fenway Park experience to local communities, on Wednesday, June 15 at Faneuil Hall in Boston. Max Sussman, 5, from the South End was among the group of children and young adults who got to participate in the mobile truck activities alongside Red Sox pitcher Matt Barnes, Red Sox President Sam Kennedy, and team mascots Wally and Tessie.

During the 2016 baseball season the 15-foot long truck, decorated to resemble Fenway's Green Monster wall, will stop at a number of events throughout New England. As part of the "Calling All Kids" initiative to bring children and young adults closer to the game, young baseball fans have the opportunity to learn more about baseball through a virtual reality experience, a steal 2nd base challenge, a batting cage with personalized walk up music and other fun activities.
