Ruth M. Aaron will begin on July 14

The Board of Directors at United South End Settlements (USES) is very pleased to announce that Ruth M. Aaron will serve as interim President and CEO after the departure of Kevin Hepner as President and CEO earlier this month. Aaron comes to USES with extensive nonprofit leadership, management, and consulting experience with complex organizations and businesses, including partnerships and multi-site, decentralized and community-based services and operations. She was referred by Third Sector New England's Executive Transitions Program and has provided interim leadership for many nonprofit organizations while they are undergoing leadership transitions, providing both strategic and operational expertise and stability during these critical times. A former resident of the South End, Ms. Aaron will work with the Board and the Senior Team at USES to ensure a smooth and orderly transition and to sustain the quality programs and services of the organization while a search is undertaken to find a permanent President and CEO.

Originally founded as the Andover House in 1891, United South End Settlements (USES) was the first settlement house in Boston and the fourth in the United States. For more information about USES, visit www.uses.org.
