As South End News went to press, Associated Press projected that interim Suffolk District Attorney will defeat Boston City Councilor Ricardo Arroyo in their Democratic primary for District Attorney. Arroyo declined to concede, saying his campaign was still waiting for more than 15,000 ballots — largely early, mail-in ballots — to be counted.

The state-wide general election will be held on Tuesday, November 8. The deadline to register to vote is October 29. The vote by mail application deadline is November 1. Early voting will be October 22 - November 4.

On Ballot: Representative in Congress, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, State Auditor, Governor's Council, State Senator, State Representative, District Attorney, Sheriff, County Commissioner (only in certain counties), statewide ballot questions.
