Everyday individuals will transform into fighters with a shared goal of knocking out cancer in Haymakers for Hope's eighth annual "Rock 'N Rumble" charity boxing event at the House of Blues® Boston on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Tickets are now on sale for the event, with doors opening at 6:30pm and fights beginning at 7:30pm.

This May, thirty-two brave men and women living and working in the Greater Boston area, including South End resident, Peter Awad, will compete in boxing matches throughout the night, against equally skilled opponents to help raise money for cancer research, awareness, survivorship and care. In preparation for the big event, each fighter is strategically paired with a boxing gym and coach to guide them through the vigorous four-month training cycle. All participants train individually and within small, intimate groups, learning the fundamentals of the sweet science, while creating lasting bonds with their trainers and Haymakers for Hope colleagues. Haymakers for Hope is much more than a cancer fundraiser. To get a taste of the exceptional and inspiring experience, please take a look at this video!

Since its initial event in 2011, Haymakers for Hope has raised more than $8 million for cancer research, awareness, survivorship and care. The organization has transformed more than 500 ordinary participants into extraordinary amateur fighters. At this year's annual "Rock 'N Rumble," the organization hopes to raise upwards of $600,000 to knock out cancer. The Boston 2018 fighters have collectively raised over $140,000 as of today.

"Over these past eight years, we have built a strong community of ass-kicking philanthropists from all walks of life who show amazing courage by stepping into the ring to literally kick out cancer," said Co-Founder Andrew Myerson. "Haymakers pushes everyday men and women to surpass mental and physical limits and we fully believe in the organization's ability to scale its fundraising capabilities to millions annually."

Haymakers for Hope "Rock 'N Rumble" fights are scheduled for three, two-minute rounds, and the entire boxing card is sanctioned by USA Boxing.

General admission tickets are $85 (standing room only), VIP & box seating packages begin at $150, and sponsorship packages are available for $2,500 and up. Tickets are now on sale!
