Detectives seek Ford Explorer with sun roof

Vehicle latest lead in murder of father Niko Nunez

At about 2:44 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014, officers from District D-4 responded to a radio call for a person shot outside in the area of 64 Aguadilla Street. On arrival, officers observed a male victim, believed to be in his early twenties, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives are looking to locate a dark-colored, newer-model Ford Explorer with a sun roof. This vehicle is being sought in connection with the homicide described above. Local car rental companies should be alert to any vehicles being returned that match this description.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
