UMASS President Robert Caret, UMASS Boston Chancellor Keith Motley and Founding Board of Governors Member Gerard O’Connor battled for the title of Iron Chef in a slider competition held at the UMASS Club of Boston for more than one hundreds members and friends. O’Connor won the title with his spicy tuna sliders. Proceeds will be donated in his name to the Boston Latin School Foundation.

Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’ourves and views of the Boston skyline while the chefs prepared their sliders. Once the chefs had finished, guests were able to try each of their creations and vote for their favorite by cash donation.

The University of Massachusetts Club provides a hub for alumni, friends, faculty and staff of The University of Massachusetts Club. The Club first opened its doors in October of 2005 with a commitment to membership, camaraderie, recognition and quality. As a members-only association, The Club aims to provide a culture of academics, business and social exchange characteristics of the UMass. Located in the heart of Boston’s Financial District, the club has unparalleled views of Boston Harbor and downtown. The UMass Club reflects their diversity and professional character among distinguished alumni and their pride and passion for the University.
