Parks Department Announces Parish Cafe Tree Hearing Thursday Apr 26, 2012

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a public hearing to discuss the proposed relocation of one public shade tree at 493 Massachusetts Avenue in the South End.
The hearing will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, in the Conference Room of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department located at 1010 Massachusetts Avenue, 3rd floor, Roxbury.
The hearing will discuss an application for the proposed relocation of one five-inch dbh (diameter at breast height) elm tree as part of a revised plan for outdoor seating at the Parish Cafe. The tree would be moved up the Tremont Street side of the building away from Massachusetts Avenue.
The public hearing will be held by the City of Boston Tree Warden (or designee), who may accept or deny the application. A decision regarding the tree removal will be made within two weeks of the hearing.
