The Red Sox and Red Sox Foundation have had a long-time connection with Pine Street Inn, starting back in 2004. Over the years the team and Red Sox Foundation have helped support the organization through donations, auction items to help benefit Pine Street Inn fundraising events, and volunteer efforts.
The visit was part of The Boston Red Sox and the Red Sox Foundation’s "100 Acts of Kindness," a program that recognizes and supports the work of charitable organizations throughout New England during Fenway Park’s 100th anniversary season. The visit to the Pine Street Inn brings the total number of "Acts of Kindness" to 18.
