A gift to graduates

As we close in on the start of another school year, college students and their parents are once again reminded of an unfortunate reality: the exorbitant cost of textbooks, which comes on top of often staggeringly high tuition and room and board costs.

MassDevelopment gives Cathedral High $12 million in bonds

MassDevelopment, the state’s finance and development authority, has issued $12 million in tax-exempt bonds on behalf of Cathedral High School, which will use the money for construction and building rehabilitation and conversion projects in order to bring aboard seventh and eighth graders next fall.

Michlewitz wrapping up office hours tour

Aaron Michlewitz, the South End’s newest state representative, held his third of four office hour sessions at Grille 705 on Massachusetts Avenue on Saturday morning, Dec. 5, drawing 10 South Enders during the two-hour coffee and hash browns session.

BMC offering Tuesday evening mammography screenings

Boston Medical Center’s Division of Breast Imaging has announced it will offer offer evening screening mammography clinics every Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The clinic will reside in suite 1300 on the first floor of the Moakley Building, 830 Harrison Avenue.
