Jury selection began this week in the trial of WARREN TYLER (D.O.B. 3/7/65) of Dorchester, charged with manslaughter in connection with a fatal motor vehicle collision near the intersection of East Berkeley Street and Harrison Avenue in Boston’s South End. The crash claimed the life of Johnny Williams, Jr., a passenger in the stolen vehicle that Tyler allegedly drove into a second vehicle just after 12:30 am on Jan. 8, 2010. The case is charges as manslaughter by motor vehicle, an offense codified with the 2005 passage of Melanie’s Law.
