Earlier this year MassDOT and GTI Properties entered into a public private partnership to increase the public parking available to South End, South Boston, and Chinatown residents and businesses. Since the start of operations in May, neighborhood parking is available in Lot 2 at 324 Albany Street and Lot 4 at 274 Albany Street beneath the I93 viaduct, between Randolph and E. Berkeley Streets, at the rates posted on the sandwich boards at the entrances to the lots: $15 for 8:00am - 8:00pm and $10 for 8:00pm - 8:00am. Please encourage any visitors or patrons of yours who need parking to consider this option.

In addition, the partnership provides a variety of community benefits:

Monthly Parking: Residents of Chinatown, South Boston and the South End with a City of Boston resident sticker may rent Monthly Residential Parking for $275.00 per month for 24/7 parking or $150.00 per month for overnight parking (In after 6:00PM weekdays, Out before 9:00AMweekdays, All Day Weekends and National Holidays).

Snow Emergency Parking: During Snow emergencies 24 parking spaces will be made available on a "first come first serve" basis, to residents of Chinatown, South Boston and the South End with a City of Boston resident sticker.

Mobility Benefits: The facility will include parking spaces for fifteen Zip Cars, electric vehicle-charging stations, and secure storage for bicycles. In addition, GTI Properties is exploring opportunities for shuttle service to Logan International Airport or large local employers.

Events: GTI Properties will host 12 art exhibitions, neighborhood events, or other cultural events at the facility each year of the agreement. If you are interested in using the facility for such an event you can fill out a request form at http://www.gtiproperties.com/signup/.
