November 22 from 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM. West Roxbury Public Works Yard. 315 Gardner Street, Millennium Park
Residents may bring up to 50 pounds of products labeled toxic, flammable, reactive, corrosive, or poisonous, such as: oil-based paint, motor oil, pesticides, solvents, glues, bleach or ammonia-based cleaners, weed killers, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, tires, propane tanks, car batteries, and used motor oil. Materials will be safely disposed of free of charge.
No commercial waste will be accepted. Proof of residency required!
Free Electronics Recycling
UMass Bayside Expo parking lot: October 25 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Bayside Expo Parking Lot. 200 Mt Vernon St, Dorchester
The City will collect and recycle electronic waste for free from the public. All electronics will be recycled in Massachusetts by Metech, an E-Steward Certified recycler.
Materials accepted: Computers, monitors, televisions, LCD panels, printers, other computer related equipment, stereos, cell and other phones, power supplies, electronic games, VCRs, circuit boards, microwaves, and other household electronic devices. CDs and CD cases.
Materials NOT accepted: Air conditioners, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, and white goods such as washers, dryers, and stoves. For disposal of the italicized items, call(617) 635-4500 to arrange a special pickup. You may put the other items curbside for regular trash pickup.
Free Paper Shredding and Recycling

Residents may bring up to 10 boxes of paper to be shredded and recycled.
