The Blackstone/Franklin Square Neighborhood Association is a non-profit community organization committed to enhancing the quality of life within our community.
As part of our mission to support our neighborhood - the South End - B/FSNA continues providing book and computer scholarships for neighborhood high school seniors or current undergraduate students pursuing a higher education.
As many other scholarships cover only tuition, this scholarship aids in covering the cost of books, computers, study guides, and other educational supplies. Currently, the average cost for books can exceed $150 per class. Students taking four classes would have more than $600 in book expenses each semester.
The application can be downloaded at http://blackstonefranklin.org/scholarship
The deadline for applications is May 16, 2016.
The South End is defined by:
Southwest Corridor (North) to Albany Street (South)
Herald (East) to Camden (West)
