Michael Bivins Basketball Court Ready for Action

On Friday, August 10, 2018, Commissioner William Gross had the pleasure of catching up with one of Boston's favorite sons and music legend, Michael Bivins of Bell Biv Devoe and New Edition fame, during a ceremony in which the city officially named and dedicated the basketball court at Ramsay Park in his honor. Commissioner Gross was honored to be a part of the celebration and made a point to commend Bivins for supporting his old neighborhood and never forgetting where he came from. The recently refurbished basketball court, now named the Michael L. Bivins Court, will go a long way in giving kids a quality place to ball while keeping them out of trouble. Growing up, Bivins said his mother would always tell him, "if you need to release some stress, go play ball."
